Privacy Policy

This is a free area calculator, and it needs very little from you. Here is the whole story on data.
The quick version
Every calculation happens in your browser, on your device. The measurements you type stay there, no account is required, and once you leave nothing about the visit is held on our end.
What the server records
Only the standard request line any host keeps: an IP address, the page and time, your browser's user-agent, and any referring page. It exists to keep the site up and catch abuse, carries no name, and is cleared within roughly a month.
Cookies and traffic
Block cookies and the calculator still runs, because it needs none. Anything we set only keeps the page working or stores a small preference, and any visitor counting reports totals, not individuals.
Ads
No third-party ads run here for now. Should any appear later, they could place their own cookies and read your IP, so we would identify each network and link its policy beforehand.
Your rights
You may decline non-essential cookies. Under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA you can ask what personal data we hold and have it removed; we keep no profiles, so there is usually nothing to send, but do ask.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and is kept patched. No site is perfectly secure, but there is almost nothing sensitive stored here.
Children
This calculator is for a general audience, students included, and is not built to collect data from children under 13, which it does not knowingly do.
Changes
We post any revision on this page with the date refreshed, and we flag substantial changes rather than sliding them in.
